Senior Manager, Data and Technology

Senior Manager, Data and Technology, is responsible for design, development and support of existing system integrations as well as of new capabilities. The ideal candidate will have background and proven experience with API creation, development and support. The ideal candidate will be proficient in PHP programming language and have working knowledge of Linux operating system. This role requires a proactive individual who can work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain APIs to support various applications and services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design and ship new features.
• Ability to be curious and solve ambiguous problems in an efficient, technology-oriented manner.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of APIs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to API functionality and performance.
• Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code.
• Implement security and data protection measures.
• Act as the primary point of contact for product-related inquiries and issues.
• Prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business goals and roadmap.

Leadership:

• Directly or indirectly lead by encouraging and fostering a culture of growth and personal development while achieving business objectives.
• Monitor D&T outcomes and provide guidance to leadership while developing policies and best practices that drive toward desired state.
• Be a flexible team player who can work with autonomy to make impactful, positive decisions.

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience as an API Developer or similar role.
• 2+ years of experience developing with PHP programming language.
• 1+ years of experience working in a Linux environment.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design principles and JSON/XML as well as
• Experience with API testing tools/techniques and version control systems (ex: GitHub).
• Knowledge of database management systems (ex: MySQL, PostgreSQL, T-SQL).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong Communication and teamwork abilities
• Understanding of agile development methodologies and product lifecycle management.
• High School diploma, required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud platforms (ex: Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
• Understanding of microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of other programming languages (ex: Python, JavaScript).
• Experience working/integrating with NetSuite.
• Understanding of product owner concepts and connecting business processes to systems.
• Past working experience in the logistics/transportation industry.
• Four-year Bachelor's degree, preferred
