Role Overview:
Ironclad Defense Works is seeking a skilled Program Management Contractor to provide comprehensive support to NATO s Capability Development Office. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, delivering, and managing training programs that enhance the program management skills of NATO personnel. Your contributions will directly support NATO s capability development objectives by ensuring that its staff is proficient in the latest program management methodologies and frameworks.
This position offers the opportunity to work closely with senior NATO leadership, project managers, and cross-functional teams to align training initiatives with NATO s strategic goals. You will also play a pivotal role in shaping program management practices within NATO, contributing to the continuous improvement of its operational capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:

• Training Program Development: Design and deliver comprehensive training programs in program management for NATO personnel. This includes creating course content, training materials, and hands-on workshops that cover key aspects of NATO s program management frameworks, best practices, and methodologies.
• Capability Development Support: Work closely with NATO s Capability Development Office to ensure that program management training aligns with NATO s overall capability development goals. Provide guidance on how to apply program management principles to support the successful delivery of NATO s strategic objectives.
• Training Documentation: Develop and maintain detailed training documentation, including manuals, guides, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and compliance with NATO s program management frameworks.
• Compliance & Framework Adherence: Ensure all program management training initiatives adhere to NATO s Capability Development guidelines, policies, and standards. Support the implementation of NATO s Common Funded Capability Delivery Governance Model (CFCDGM) and other relevant NATO program management frameworks.
• Program Office Support: Assist the Program Management Office (PMO) with the development of key deliverables, including project plans, risk assessments, and progress reports. Provide program management support to ongoing projects and initiatives within the Capability Development Office.
• Performance Evaluation & Reporting: Monitor the effectiveness of training programs through regular assessments and feedback. Provide detailed reports and recommendations for improvements, ensuring that NATO personnel are continually advancing their program management competencies.
• Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Collaborate with other NATO departments and international partners to share best practices in program management and identify opportunities for improvement in training delivery and content.
• Mentorship & Coaching: Provide one-on-one coaching and mentorship to NATO personnel, helping them apply program management principles in their day-to-day operations and project work. Act as a subject matter expert on program management within the Capability Development Office.

Qualifications:

• Educational Background: A bachelor s degree in program management, business administration, project management, or a related field is required. A master s degree in a relevant field is preferred.
• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in program management, with specific experience in training and development. Prior experience working within NATO or a multinational defense organization is highly desirable.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in NATO s program management frameworks, including the Common Funded Capability Delivery Governance Model (CFCDGM) and other related NATO program management systems. Experience using project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, or similar software.
• Certification: A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is highly preferred. Additional certifications in program management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, MSP) or Agile project management are advantageous.
• Training Development Skills: Demonstrated ability to design, develop, and deliver training programs, including creating course materials, assessments, and hands-on training exercises. Experience in adult learning methodologies and instructional design is a plus.
• Communication & Leadership: Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and train personnel from diverse backgrounds. Leadership experience in coaching and mentoring teams is essential.
• Security Clearance: Active Secret security clearance

Desirable Skills:

• Strategic Thinking: Ability to align training initiatives with NATO s strategic objectives, ensuring that personnel are equipped to meet the organization s evolving needs.
• Multinational Collaboration: Experience working in a multinational environment with cross-functional teams. Familiarity with NATO s organizational culture, governance, and operational structure is an asset.
• Data-Driven Approach: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to measure training effectiveness through data analysis and feedback mechanisms. Experience with key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance management is preferred.
• Problem-Solving Abilities: Demonstrated ability to address training and operational challenges with creative, strategic solutions, particularly in the context of program management.
