Positional Overview

This role involves leading major process improvement projects and initiatives for specific lines of business. The candidate will leverage tools from Six Sigma, LEAN, Project Management, and Change Management to consult with business and executive leadership. The objective is to develop strategic recommendations and enhance processes across the bank and between different business units at an enterprise level.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Direct the development of continuous improvement initiatives, typically of moderate complexity, while consulting with and influencing internal stakeholders to create value and gain buy-in as the lead process improvement partner.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives by measuring, analyzing, and discussing process alternatives to identify viable solutions and best practices.
  • Prepare recommendations for presentation to senior management, prioritizing and executing process re-engineering efforts.
  • Develop project plans and execution frameworks for assigned activities.
  • Identify and document opportunities for process automation (e.g., robotics) and develop the associated business case.
  • Regularly communicate project status, issues, and risks to the project sponsor.
  • Ensure sustainable measurement systems are established for key deliverables in each project.
  • Develop business cases and project benefits, monitoring actual results against projected outcomes.
  • Coordinate teams of up to 20 individuals across various functions and organizational levels.
  • May involve coaching and mentoring Process Analysts or Six Sigma Green Belts.
  • Support larger strategic projects or process initiatives under the guidance of higher management.
  • Drive the implementation of solutions within the business as needed.
  • Measure, track, and report ongoing benefits up to one year after project completion.
  • Understand and adhere to risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls in alignment with the organization's risk appetite, escalating any risk-related issues to management.
  • Promote a diverse work environment that reflects the organization's values.
  • Maintain internal control standards, ensuring timely implementation of audit points and addressing issues raised by external regulators.
  • Complete other related duties as assigned.
Scope of Responsibilities: This position manages and executes process re-engineering projects that impact individual lines of business to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer service.

Qualifications That Will Help You Thrive

We are seeking a candidate with experience in commercial banking, preferably in equipment finance. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in creating Level 3: Task-level process maps and identifying risk controls. This role will involve remote collaboration with various business owners to facilitate and document workflows and processes, including the creation of process maps where they do not currently exist.
