Primary Purpose

The International Vice President of Administration and Executive Officer to the IET shall serve The Navigators and fulfill the responsibilities listed below in the spirit of The Navigators calling, values and purpose: To advance the Gospel of Jesus and His kingdom into the nations through spiritual generations of laborers living and discipling among the lost.

This position will lead and supervise the finance and administrative functions of the International Office.

Essential Functions

IET Responsibilities - 95%.

  • Ensure IET strategic planning is accomplished through the creation, execution and follow through of all IET meetings by:

Advising and conferring with the International President on all IET meeting agendas, strategic initiatives and follow through action steps. Soliciting and prioritizing IET meeting agenda topics. Emceeing, participating in and contributing in all IET meetings as an active participant. Overseeing and/or delegating logistics, meeting notes and executive summaries, encourage, enable, dialog, shape, manage follow through and assess progress. Participate in International Travel, each year multiple IET meetings and events take place at various locations around the world in our Worldwide Partnership.

  • Integrate IET initiatives by Coordinating, harmonizing, and synergizing projects and meetings that might otherwise compete with one another.
  • Supervise International Office specialists and resources including but not limited to finance manager, operations manager and executive assistants.
  • Solve strategic problems on behalf of the International President (IP) and IET by supplementing the capacity of the IP and IET to address specific selected legal, structural, governance and practical needs/problems, with IET guidance and delegated authority.
  • Build effective partnering between leaders of the U.S. Navigators and the Navigators Worldwide Partnership by engaging with specific selected strategic problems and issues in the US Navigator work on behalf of IP and IET. Assist the Worldwide Partnership in strengthening financial and administrative capacity.
  • Member of the Office of the International President: This is a sub-group within the International Office that meets weekly and is currently composed of the International President, IET Executive Officer, Strategy Implementation Manager and their assistants.
  • Prepare persons and processes for fulfilling this assigned purpose and responsibilities into the future.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Participate in Navigators’ on-site learning and development events, Cultural Development and Diversity trainings, or other non-Navigator developmental events as appropriate.
  • Participate in annual processes, such as the organizational Plan and Progress Review (PPR), Reaffirmation of the Navigators Code of Conduct, Calling-Core Values-Vision, Statement of Faith, Driver’s Authorization, and other releases as required.

Minimum And Preferred Qualifications

Spiritual: Belief in and adherence to the Statement of Faith and Mission of The Navigators. Knowledge of and experience with Navigator ministry, culture, history and relationships preferred. Strong spiritual authority, respect and confidence. Real calling to the biblical contribution of administration.

Experience: At least 10 years of experience in business operations and management, and international ministry. International experience and known chemistry with the IET preferred.

Technical Knowledge & Skills: Microsoft Office proficiency.

Communication & Leadership: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including verbal & written, to create understanding and build strong working relationships required.

Education: Bachelor's degree in business or related field required.
