Job Summary

The Commercial Associate will support activities for commercialization of LRE’s existing utility-scale wind, solar, and storage projects, and targeting new portfolio additions, pursuing differentiated asset monetization strategies, and aggregating competitive intelligence. The Associate will support the M&A and Origination teams on project acquisitions and divestiture transactions, and will be responsible for supporting the Commercial team in its efforts to develop new and existing customer relationships, resulting in the construction of new clean energy projects, including through participation in competitive bidding processes and supporting analysis of opportunities for strategic revenue growth. The Associate will collaborate with external and internal stakeholders including Project Development, Project Finance, EPC and Legal on transactions.

Essential Functions:

  • Support senior team in acquisition and divestiture transactions and support in core M&A process activity flow, including process letters, letter of intents, shared models, deal documentation, dataroom preparation, diligence logs, etc.
  • Assist in the preparation and timely delivery of high quality proposals in response to RFPs from utilities and commercial and industrial customers.
  • Evaluate acquisition and origination prospects and provide recommendations to management on appropriate allocation of time and resources and contribute to the development of the M&A and Origination team strategy
  • Maintain and develop systems for tracking opportunities and internal deliverables, including performing energy market research and analysis, maintaining market intelligence and providing updates to management regarding transactions and structures being executed in the market
  • Design and create outreach strategy for all products and technologies under development, including key customer messaging
  • Manage day-to-day cross-functional internal diligence efforts for commercial opportunities
  • Perform financial modeling and valuation in support of transactions
  • Prepare materials to support management and external interactions, including RFP summaries, pricing and bid approval decks and key issues lists
  • Additional duties as required

  • Willingness and ability to travel at least 25% of time.
