Electrician - Mobile Technician

Position Summary

Reporting to the Manager, Installation & Service, the Installation & Service Representative is responsible for installation of Cobalt60 sources, key product line used to sterilize surgical and medical disposables In addition, you will be responsible for replenishment, maintenance, repair, and other related field service duties. You will work cross functionally with internal and external stakeholders, and contribute to various projects related to industrial sterilization equipment. In this customer facing role, you will have the opportunity to travel globally.

Responsibilities

Installation of products into large full scale production irradiators.

Participate in the assembly and testing of irradiator equipment as required.

Upon becoming full proficient through our dedicated training program you will:

Have oversight responsibility for the junior/new or developing installers when in the field conducting cobalt loadings

Participate in the training and development of the junior/new or developing installers

Organize, schedule and execute Co-60 installation projects

Load and un-load Cobalt-60 into and non Production Irradiator Equipment

Complete all Co-60 loading documentation, safety checks and maintenance checks on production irradiators

Prepare Co-60 source return shipments and documentation

Maintain toolboxes and equipment used for Co-60 installation projects.

In addition, under the direction of the Project Engineer and/or Technical Service Specialist

Assist with the assembly/installation, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance of Production Irradiator equipment and all mechanical/electrical work associated with the assembly, testing and commissioning of Production Irradiators.

Support the commercial team in ensuring customer satisfaction through delivery of products and services. Communicate issues and assist in resolution / action plans as determined by the appropriate stakeholders.

Contribute to safety culture and identify areas of improvement to management

Qualifications

Education:

Electrical license (309A or 442A) or Electrical Technician with 3-5 years of relevant experience or

Millwright license (433A ) or Instrumentation technician license (447A).

A 4th year apprentice would also be considered for any of the above listed trades.

Field service or project coordination role with demonstrated success in nuclear, electrical, or mechanically focused projects is an asset.

Skills and Competencies

Strong interpersonal skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated experience interfacing with the customers. Able to communicate cross functionally with multiple internal and external stakeholders.

Organized and concise in order to complete documentation in a GMP environment and follow standard operating procedures.

Additional Requirements

Overtime is required.

Able to travel internationally (required to travel an average of 180 days per year).

We requires pre-employment medical screening to be accepted as cleared prior to start date.

Background verification includes FBI fingerprinting and criminal record check

Valid Canadian passport.

Valid driver s license.

Physical Job Demands:

Good manual dexterity and grip strength.

Lift at least 25kgs on an occasional basis.

Sustained physical work in a hot environment (destination dependent).

May require work in confined places.

May require working from heights.

Training Required: Must complete all required training and certification as a Nuclear Energy Worker.
