As a member of our IT Infrastructure & Cloud team, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our systems are operational, secure, and optimized while enabling our employees to innovate, drive productivity, and safely maintain operations throughout our organization.

The ideal candidate:

The System Administrator I plays a vital role in managing and maintaining our organization's IT assets by proactively monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing our systems. This position is focused on day-to-day operations, user support, and system maintenance, ensuring that our organization remains technologically agile and adequately protected from potential IT issues.

This position is instrumental in supporting our organization's technological needs and operates under the direct supervision of the Lead Architect, Infrastructure & Cloud.

You'll Do:

User and Device Management

  • Manage user identities and access across various systems and applications
  • Configure and maintain device identity and access management
  • Administer Microsoft 365 / Office suite for the organization
  • Oversee public cloud services and OneDrive usage
  • Maintain and troubleshoot Active Directory
  • Assist in managing the organization's Public-Key Infrastructure

System Administration and Maintenance

  • Administer InTune / SCCM for device management
  • Manage and support productivity tools (Email, MS Teams)
  • Monitor system performance and health
  • Implement and manage end-user patch management processes
  • Handle domain registrations and renewals
  • Manage and optimize Domain Name System (DNS)
  • Assist in configuring and maintaining Content-Delivery Network (CDN)

Support and Troubleshooting

  • Provide first-level support for IT-related issues
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software problems
  • Assist in the setup and configuration of new systems and applications
  • Contribute to the documentation of IT processes and procedures

Security and Compliance

  • Assist in implementing and maintaining IT security measures
  • Participate in regular system backups and disaster recovery processes
  • Help ensure compliance with IT policies and industry standards

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 0-2 years of experience in IT support or system administration
  • Strong understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS)
  • Basic knowledge of networking concepts and protocols
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Eagerness to learn and stay updated with emerging technologies

Additional Skills (Preferred):

  • Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash)
  • Familiarity with IT security best practices
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft certifications)

Work Conditions:

  • Office-based
  • Potential for occasional on-call duties
  • May require some evening and weekend work for system maintenance and updates

Compensation Package:

  • The salary range for this position may vary depending on experience, education, and location. The annual salary range is between$62K - $75K
  • Annual bonus opportunity
