As a Project Civil Engineer specializing in Site Design, you will serve a crucial function within our multidisciplinary team, working remotely or from our Dallas or Fort Worth office. In this role, you will provide essential preliminary and construction design services for a diverse array of land development projects, including mixed-use, commercial, residential, industrial, sports facilities, and educational institutions. Your engineering acumen will be instrumental in navigating complex assignments and ensuring that all project objectives and critical issues are effectively addressed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop planning and design documentation in your engineering discipline.
  • Conduct process design calculations, formulate cost estimates, and perform economic analyses to evaluate alternatives.
  • Collaborate in establishing project scopes and schedules, complete initiation paperwork, and oversee budget reviews and progress reporting.
  • Coordinate project efforts with other teams, supervise design elements, guide team members on design tasks, and maintain comprehensive project records.
  • Keep project managers apprised of advancements and challenges, engage with clients, and participate in client meetings.
  • Assist marketing and business development initiatives, including proposal writing.
  • Assume project management duties for smaller projects when required.
  • Execute assignments independently on intricate projects and coordinate the work of junior professionals and technical staff.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional communication skills, with a collaborative mindset.
  • Proficient in site layout, grading, utility design, and erosion control.
  • Familiarity with Civil 3D software.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and innovative thinking.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in Civil Engineering.
  • Current Professional Engineer registration.
  • Solid understanding of regulatory approvals and design standards.
