Position: Schedule Analyst

Location: Remote

Overview: The Software and Schedule Manager will play a critical role in the planning, execution, and delivery of solar energy projects by developing, maintaining, and monitoring detailed project schedules, as well as overseeing software tools such as QuickBase to support team operations and reporting. This position requires a strong understanding of both Smartsheet and Microsoft Project for project scheduling and tracking. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in project scheduling, preferably in the renewable energy sector, and will work closely with the project management team to ensure successful project execution. The role will also include managing and supporting the use of QuickBase across teams to enhance project coordination and reporting capabilities. This role reports directly to the Project Controlling, Senior Director.

Main Responsibilities: INSERT RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and Maintain Project Schedules:
    Create, update, and manage detailed project schedules using Smartsheet and Microsoft Project, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with Project Teams:
    Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for accurate schedule development, tracking, and software integration.
  • Resource Allocation and Management:
    Monitor resource allocation, ensuring that materials, equipment, and personnel are efficiently utilized throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Progress Tracking and Reporting:
    Regularly update and monitor project progress, flagging any risks or deviations from the baseline schedule, and providing timely reports to the project team and management.
  • Manage QuickBase for Project Support:
    Oversee and maintain the QuickBase platform, ensuring project data is updated and accessible. Assist teams in utilizing QuickBase for project tracking, task management, and reporting.
  • Support Teams in QuickBase Usage:
    Provide training and support to teams to ensure effective use of QuickBase, troubleshooting issues, and continuously improving the platform's integration with project workflows.
  • Risk Management:
    Identify potential scheduling risks, recommend mitigation strategies, and ensure the project remains on track to meet deadlines.
  • Schedule Optimization:
    Analyze project data to identify opportunities for schedule improvements and ensure maximum efficiency and on-time project delivery.
  • Reporting and Data Analysis:
    Utilize reporting tools like QuickBase and Power BI to generate insightful, accurate reports for stakeholders, highlighting key metrics, performance trends, and schedule adherence.
  • Communication:
    Communicate project timelines, status updates, and changes to all relevant stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Documentation and Compliance:
    Ensure all scheduling documentation is maintained accurately, complying with company standards and industry best practices.
  • Software and Process Improvement:
    Continuously review and improve scheduling and software processes, integrating tools such as Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, and QuickBase for better project management outcomes.

Reporting: Senior Director, Project Controlling

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required, master s degree preferred.
  • 5-7 years of experience as a project scheduler, preferably in the solar or renewable energy sector.

Technical:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Preferred experience with Procore, QuickBase, and Power BI.
  • Knowledge of project scheduling and Earned Value Management (EVM) concepts.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to cost control and project management (e.g., PMBOK, AACEI) is a plus.
  • Strong proficiency in Smartsheet and Microsoft Project.
