JOB DESCRIPTION

As the Senior Manager of Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) at Ichor Systems, you will lead and enhance the global SIOP process, ensuring strategic alignment across all operations. Key duties include developing advanced demand forecasting models by integrating cross-functional data from sales, marketing, finance, and more. You will independently create proprietary analytics tools to support data-driven decisions without IT involvement. Responsibilities also involve conducting in-depth gap analyses between demand forecasts and production capabilities, proposing strategic adjustments, and collaborating with procurement and production teams to ensure material and capacity availability. Monitoring and managing KPIs related to forecast accuracy, inventory management, and production efficiency is crucial. You will lead continuous improvement projects within the SIOP framework, report metrics and progress to the executive team, and train and mentor team members and stakeholders in best practices and strategic planning.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Oversee and enhance the monthly SIOP process, ensuring strategic, cross-functional alignment and collaboration across all facets of global operations.
  • Advanced Forecasting and Analytics: Develop sophisticated demand forecasting models by integrating market intelligence and data from sales, marketing, finance, and other departments. Independently create and implement proprietary analytics tools to support data-driven decision-making within the SIOP process.
  • Gap Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of discrepancies between demand forecasts and production capabilities, proposing strategic adjustments to optimize operations.
  • Supply Chain Collaboration: Work closely with procurement and production departments to guarantee the availability of necessary materials and production capacity.
  • Performance Metrics: Monitor and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure goals related to forecast accuracy, inventory management, and production efficiency are met.
  • Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Lead and champion continuous improvement projects within the SIOP framework. Develop and utilize custom analytics tools to refine and advance the planning process without IT department involvement.
  • Executive Reporting: Regularly report on SIOP metrics and progress to the executive team, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Team Development: Train and mentor SIOP team members and other stakeholders in best practices, strategic approaches to integrated business planning, and the utilization of independently developed analytics tools.


Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or an MBA is highly preferred.
  • Experience: At least 7 of progressive experience in SIOP, demand planning, or related supply chain management roles, with a strong preference for experience in the semiconductor industry.
  • Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in ERP systems (Oracle Cloud preferred), Microsoft Office, and Power BI. Outstanding communication and presentation skills. Strong capability in independently developing and implementing analytics tools is essential.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams and drive significant business outcomes.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the dynamics and challenges within the semiconductor equipment manufacturing industry.
