About the Opportunity

As a Mechanical Engineer in our R&D Team, you will be responsible for a variety of key tasks that drive our business forward, including:

  • Planning, managing, and overseeing the development, implementation, and evaluation of complex R&D projects.
  • Developing hypotheses, testing them, and documenting results to contribute to our operational knowledge base.
  • Monitoring project progress and performance against the project plan.
  • Analyzing our work processes through metrics, job examinations, and direct observation on the plant floor.
  • Identifying patterns in our work stream and innovating process improvements to increase quality and productivity.
  • Enhancing existing production stations.
  • Selecting, installing, commissioning, developing processes, and integrating new machinery into our workflow.

About You

Our ideal candidate is a flexible thinker with strong problem-solving skills who is passionate about machinery and driving continuous improvement. Here s what you ll need to succeed:

  • Education: A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline (check Canadian degree equivalency here).
  • Experience: 2-5 years in an engineering role or similar experience is an asset, but open to all levels of experience
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytic abilities and flexibility in thinking.
    • Experience and knowledge in manufacturing and/or CNC machining
    • The ability to work across disciplines to steer projects and implement process improvements.
    • A self-starting attitude with excellent time management skills to ensure projects are completed on schedule.
