Requirements:Be a United States citizen.
Have a security clearance - SECRET
Be a graduate of an accredited Engineering college curriculum (four [4]-year degree minimum AND have a minimum of six (6) years of Design Management and/or Design experience performing tasks identified herein. Structural engineer must have a bachelor s degree in civil engineering (with a structural focus).
It is highly desirable to have their U.S. Professional Engineering Registration (P.E.) in the discipline being hired (i.e. mechanical design technical support requires a mechanical engineering license) but not required.
Have demonstrated knowledge of broad-based Engineering principles and versed in the discipline being hired.
Sound understanding of technical concepts, principles and practices applicable to multidisciplined engineering project design.
Have demonstrated experience with the following:
o Performing structural analysis and design of building vertical and lateral force resisting systems, retaining structures, utility structures, or waterfront structures (piers, wharves, etc.) using DoD UFC or industry codes and standards including the International Building Code (IBC) and ASCE 7 Minimum Design Loads for Buildings and Other Structures; and design of structural elements using common building materials (concrete, steel, and masonry).
Have demonstrated the ability to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing.
Have demonstrated experience in preparing correspondence, written reports, and in briefing management personnel.
Provide satisfactory proof of U.S. citizenship. (U.S. or naturalized).
Have demonstrated experience in the use and application of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.), AutoCAD and/or Revit, etc. Have the ability to adapt to new software such as eCMS, MS Teams and Zoom may also be necessary.
Complete the SF-85-P, Questionnaire for Public Trust Positions. This task order shall establish necessary base/building access requirements.
