Skills
- Proficient in Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office products
- Strong analytical skills for cost analysis and reporting
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to identify and implement process improvements
- Experience with JD Edwards ERP system (preferred but not required)
Responsibilities
- Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare reports comparing standard costs to actuals
- Manage and enhance the cost accounting system
- Collect and analyze data to determine costs of business activities
- Participate and lead physical inventories, reporting results to the executive group
- Assist in month-end closing by preparing journal entries
- Collaborate with operations and engineering for costing and support of new product development
- Generate various ad hoc reports as requested by management
- Enhance standard cost reporting and variance analysis
Qualifications
- BS in accounting/finance
- 5+ years of manufacturing experience with a focus on cost accounting
- Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements
- Self-starter with strong relationship-building skills
Education Requirements
- Bachelors degree in accounting or finance
Education Requirements Credential Category
- Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field
Experience Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant experience in cost accounting within manufacturing
