Job Description:
We are seeking a Field Service Engineer with strong mechanical and electrical engineering experience, ideally within the semiconductor equipment industry. The candidate should have experience working in semi-commercial clean room environments, strong diagnostic skills, and the flexibility for local travel and occasional training in Japan. This role involves hands-on service, maintenance, and troubleshooting of semi equipment, with a focus on piping and other technical requirements within clean room settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Equipment Installation and Maintenance: Provide hands-on support for the installation, maintenance, and repair of semiconductor equipment in clean room environments.
- Technical Diagnostics: Utilize strong electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills to identify and resolve equipment issues efficiently, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Clean Room Operations: Apply over three years of experience working within semi-commercial clean rooms, adhering to protocols for cleanliness and equipment handling.
- Piping Work (Preferred): Assist in or oversee piping installations related to semi equipment when necessary.
- Local and International Travel: Perform local travel within the USA as required and be open to training in Japan to stay updated on technical standards and equipment advancements.
- Field Service Engineering: Use over three years of field service experience to support clients on-site, troubleshoot issues, and provide preventative maintenance.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Educational Background: Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, with at least five years of relevant experience.
- Professional Experience: 3+ years working with semi equipment in clean rooms, preferably with experience in piping work.
- Skills: Excellent electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills, field service engineering expertise, and adaptability for on-site troubleshooting and client support.
