Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our growing team. In this leadership role, you will drive the design and development of electrical control systems and power distribution units for our products. You will oversee all aspects of the design process, from requirement capture to final implementation, while providing technical guidance and mentorship to your team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Lead and manage the design and development of electrical control systems and power distribution units.
  • System Architecture Development: Translate system-level and sub-system-level specifications into detailed, functional electrical control architectures.
  • Design Review: Review and approve electrical schematics, panel layouts, and test plans.
  • Troubleshooting and Resolution: Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot and resolve electrical system issues.
  • Component Design and Selection: Design and select components for end stations, including AC/DC harnesses, servomotors, sensors, and cable shielding.
  • SEMI Standards Compliance: Leverage SEMI domain expertise to ensure designs meet industry standards.
  • Project Execution: Independently drive system-level and sub-system-level design projects.
  • Team Mentorship: Provide technical guidance to team members, including overseeing schematic design, component selection, and document quality checks.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with mechanical, software, and manufacturing teams to integrate design requirements.
  • Standards Compliance: Ensure designs comply with IEC, CE, NEC, NFPA, IPC-WHMA-620, SEMI, and UL standards.
  • Tool Utilization: Utilize electrical and E-CAD tools, PLM/PDM software, and PLC/HMI programming languages.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree a plus).
  • Experience: Minimum of 6+ years of experience in electrical control system and power distribution design and development.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in electrical control system design principles, electrical architecture, and power distribution.
  • Problem Solving: Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Leadership: Proven leadership and communication skills, with the ability to mentor a team.
  • Software Proficiency: Experience with electrical design software, PLM/PDM tools, and working knowledge of PLC/HMI programming is desirable
