Job Description:

Title: Infrastructure Security Engineer

Location: 100% Remote

Hours: M-F day hours- 40 hour weeks

Pay: $60-65/hr

Type: Long-term Contract

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Infrastructure Security Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in VLAN, firewalls, and networking. This role requires a proactive individual who can work effectively in a remote environment while adhering to East Coast hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage secure network infrastructures.
  • Configure and maintain VLANs, firewalls, and other network security devices.
  • Develop and enforce security policies and procedures to ensure the protection of sensitive data.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.
  • Monitor network traffic for unusual activity and respond to security incidents.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into all stages of the development lifecycle.
  • Assist in the remediation of PCI vulnerabilities identified during the acquisition of subsidiaries.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, threats, and technologies to ensure our infrastructure remains secure.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or working experience in a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in infrastructure security, with a focus on VLAN, firewalls, and networking.
  • Strong understanding of network security frameworks and best practices.
  • Experience with PCI compliance and remediation is highly desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CCNP Security are a plus.
