Microsoft Advertising (MSA) empowers the largest advertisers and publishers around the world to reach their maximum potential through digital advertising solutions on the Microsoft Advertising platform. We are seeking a top performing Partner Sales Executive with digital advertising experience who can drive revenue with programmatic partners by developing and cultivating strategic partner relationships and aligning solutions to the partner's advertising technology strengths. This individual will play a key role in managing supply-side and publisher-side partnerships on behalf of Microsoft Advertising. Responsibilities include developing forward-looking strategies for integrations, driving the end-to-end lifecycle of partner management to increase spend/revenue, cultivating client relationships, and partnering internally across engineering, content, marketing and sales teams to drive awareness and product development prioritization.

About the team:

The Global AdTech Partnerships team is the connection point between Microsoft and ad technology partners, including Supply Side Platforms, Demand Side Platforms, and Data and Measurement Platforms. We create long-term partnerships to drive value for both Microsoft Advertising and its clients, with a strategic consulting focus and a win-win mentality. Our team has mastery of the digital ad technology ecosystem, including the companies involved and industry trends. We document our partnership details and integration details to drive strategic direction and close collaboration with internal teams across Microsoft.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • 8+ years partner management, sales, business development, platform ecosystem/network, or partner channel development in the technology industry
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related field AND 5+ years partner management, sales, business development, platform ecosystem/network, or partner channel development in the technology industry
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 1+ year(s) experience with planning, budgeting, and other project management activities.
  • 1+ year(s) of experience in programmatic advertising, advertiser and/or publisher management, tech partnership management, or other client-facing roles in software-based technology platforms.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related field AND 9+ years partner management, sales, business development, platform ecosystem/network, or partner channel development in the technology industry
    • OR 12+ years partner management, sales, business development, platform ecosystem/network, or partner channel development in the technology industry.
  • Experience with publishe-side relationships.
  • 3+ year(s) experience with planning, budgeting, and other project management activities.
  • Comfortable building and managing relationships at both senior and operational levels.
  • Proven ability to communicate feedback, development requirements, and data analytics to drive commitments with product and technical partners.

Partner Account Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,100 - $185,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $144,000 - $203,500 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain an expert level understanding of AdTech supply and trends affecting or influencing the marketplace to provide insights to partners and inform company strategy. Be present at industry events and engage in customer activities/events to increase industry and product knowledge. Consistently make every effort to increase knowledge of the industry and strengthen business acumen.
  • Develop and grow mutually beneficial working relationships with key internal stakeholders. Build and maintain a network of key internal relationships to show up as a united front to partners, securing strong cross-group collaboration that enables responses to be aligned with company strategy.
  • Create documentation on all aspects of partner management. Share information cross functionally with leadership, business development, Ads Engineering, finance and other relevant stakeholders. Ensure that all processes are streamlined and standardized to maintain consistency. Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging feedback and implementing best practices.
  • Contribute to the development of partner compete strategies and communicate the value of Microsoft products and services over competitors.
  • Support Business Development with renewals and new deal negotiations. Execute creative win-win opportunities that enable successful business growth with existing partners.
  • Sell account vision to decision makers at Microsoft and the partner company by aligning value propositions of products, channels, or solutions that are mutually beneficial to both the partner and Microsoft. Translates account vision into action plans.
  • Develop a trusted-advisor relationship to establish alignment with partners' senior decision makers, sell Microsoft products and services, and align partner priorities, strategies, and goals with Microsoft's to build mutually beneficial business plans and improve competitiveness of their business operations. Understands markets and partner trends and develops connections with key market players to close and execute projects, as well as share business opportunities internally.
