The Assistant Facility Security Officer (FSO) in this position will serve Anduril's McHenry, MS site and will be required to provide support to an off-site Facility Security Officer (FSO). The on-site AFSO will provide oversight and/or assistance for Anduril's Huntsville, AL site as needed and will receive guidance and be overseen by a remote Facility Security Officer. The AFSO is responsible for assisting in implementing and directing the industrial security program, including implementing AA&E requirements, and ensuring company and customer security requirements are met. Candidates will interface with all levels of personnel and government management personnel to ensure contract security compliance with 32 CFR, the National Industrial Security Program, the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), DoD Manual 5100.76- Physical Security of Sensitive Arms, Ammunitions, and Explosives (AA&E), Contract Security Classification Specifications (DD Form 254), and Security Classification Guides (SCGs). The position requires a self-motivated candidate that can work in an independent or team environment with oversight. The candidate will be required to assist and give input in the development of processes and procedures, conduct security self-inspections, apply risk mitigation methodologies, support customer assessments, and implement security measures to meet requirements.

$67,500 - $101,250 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. WHAT YOU'LL DO
- With FSO oversight, administer day-to-day security programs in compliance with 32 CFR Part 117, Security Classification Guides, and program guidance: personnel processing, program reviews, document control system, inventories, audits & self-inspections, violation investigations & reports, receipt/dispatch/destruction/mail logs, visit certs, etc.
- With FSO oversight, administer contract requirements and policy requirements of the DoD Manual 5100.76, Physical Security of Sensitive Conventional Arms, Ammunition, and Explosives (AA&E) including: prepare an Standing Practice Procedures (SPP) for protection of AA&E, establish a continuous education and training program, identify the SRC of Anduril assets and administer applicable security requirements, implement physical security requirements surrounding the protection of AA&E outside of a military installation, conduct investigations and write incident reports, ensure personnel security requirements are met, create and implement contingency and security plans based on local threats, maintain accountability of AA&E, conduct AA&E inventories, and provide guidance on AA&E manufacturing and transportation.
- Provide guidance to employees and recommend modifications to the FSO for operations policies or procedures
- Work with a variety of stakeholders and collaborators including but not limited to: Program Management, Classified IT, Classified Networks/Mission Assurance, Insider Threat and Counterintelligence, Physical Security
- Act as on-site security point person for Open Storage Area (OSA) buildout coordination from proposal through accreditation.
- Assist the FSO and PERSEC team in maintaining and updating the DISS for the entire company
- Process requests for changes to DISS, including analyzing requests to assure proper need-to-know justifications are enforced.
- Process the security portion of classified network account requests, TASS requests, CAC requests, and other security-related paperwork
- Assist the FSO team in answering help tickets, security tickets, the security inbox, and other forums
- Assist in maintaining and updating NISS for your Operating Location
- Assist the FSO in conducting Staff Assistance Visits, annual self-inspections, and other local inspections as required. Prepare and present reports with appropriate corrective actions delineated.
- Send and receive collateral visit requests; oversee and provide facility badge access.
- Ensure all assigned personnel meet/maintain the appropriate security clearance requirements.
- Update and query required information systems as needed to perform assigned duties.
- Maintain required hard-copy files to perform assigned duties. Prepare and execute required periodic reporting and or audits and reviews IAW applicable directives, regulations, and instructions.
- Provide continuous training and guidance in all areas of security; including but not limited to, local procedures, OPSEC, Communications Security (COMSEC), Security Awareness.
- Enforce foreign contact and travel requirements, entry procedures, escort procedures, document control procedures, and classification review/guidance requests.
- Report security incidents to the FSO, Deputy Director of Industrial Security, and Head of Security to make determinations
- Provide training and guidance on handling, safeguarding, marking classified material.
- Verify and provide training for requests for courier authorizations; issues those certifications.
- Coordinate industrial security procedures as necessary. Review performance work statements (PWS) or Statements of Work (SOW) for contracts and ensure properly executed DD Form 254s.
- Provide inputs to the security sections in response to Request for Proposals (RFP) and Broad Agency Announcements (BAA).
- Maintain hard/soft copies of DD Form 254 along with personnel assigned to contract prior to indoctrination.
- Manage collateral facilities, access control systems, and alarm systems. Coordinate the buildout of new Open Storage Areas (OSAs) and Restricted Areas.
- Update and provide recommendations to Anduril Security Policies and Procedures (SPP).
- Analyze and assess issues with personnel security and proposes solutions that meet standards set by applicable regulations, directives and instructions.
- Ensure our Security Management software/database (SIMS) is accurate and updated at all times
- 3+ years of related Security experience
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent (4 years)
- Must complete DISS/NISS training
- Must hold Facility Program Management for Possessing Facilities certification
- Current or able to obtain Industrial Security Professional (ISP) certification
- Must hold a current U.S. TOP SECRET security clearance.
- Strong understanding of Physical Security requirements to include: Open Storage Areas, AA&E
- Understanding of DISS, e-QIP, NISS, and ISFD
- Knowledge of COMSEC custodian duties
- Experience creating and conducting initial security briefings, debriefings, indoctrinations, pre/post-foreign travel briefings and re briefings, as appropriate
- Experience working in a fast-moving, dynamic environment with multiple government customers and program managers
- Ability to communicate policy and procedures clearly to all cleared staff
- Able to meet timelines and prioritize demands effectively
- Thorough working knowledge of the 32 CFR, DODM 5100.76, and other relevant DoD security guidance
- Experience developing and implanting OPSEC plans
- Must be able to read and interpret Security Classification Guides (SCGs) and develop and deliver training pertaining to them
- Must have the ability to work in a dynamic environment and effectively interact with numerous DOD, military/civilian personnel and industry partners
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Possess a high degree of originality, creativity, initiative requiring minimal supervision
- Willingness to travel within the organizational Area of Responsibility (AOR)
