JOB DESCRIPTION
Key Functions and Expected Performance:
Assist in developing learning modules that incorporate emerging technologies and practical methodologies, focusing on virtual and augmented realities, artificial intelligence, and digital collaboration tools.
Collaborate on creating career paths that include digital and experiential learning opportunities that meet the needs of a diverse staff globally, preparing them for advancements and changes in their fields.
Facilitate the adoption of new tools and technologies in learning and development, such as mobile and cloud-first device-agnostic applications, VR (Virtual Reality), AR (Augmented Reality), MR (Mixed Reality), MV (Metaverse), Unity to make learning experiences more accessible and engaging.
Continuously research and integrate industry best practices and emerging trends in workforce readiness, learning, development, and performance technology to keep the university updated on digital learning and development.
Coordinate with IT, PCB COE s, and university departments to ensure that learning innovations align with organizational goals and enhance overall staff development.
Contribute to project planning and execution by developing measurements of success and metrics to evaluate the satisfaction and effectiveness of learning and development products and services, and use feedback to refine and optimize initiatives.
Engage with university stakeholders to promote and facilitate the standardization and adoption of new learning innovations, technologies, and methodologies. Provide training and support to stakeholders and staff implementing new tools and programs.
Participate in continuous improvement efforts by supporting the optimization of people, processes, and technology, including AI, to make learning, development, and growth opportunities more accessible across the organization.
Act as a champion of our values: belonging, self-direction, collaboration, and growth.
Additionally, undertake any other tasks as needed.
Supervisory Relationships:
This position does not have direct reports and is focused on team contributions. The Learning Innovation Architect reports to the Director of Learning Innovation and Impact.
Education and Certifications:
Bachelor s degree in Instructional Technology, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Organizational Learning, or a related field or equivalent is required. A Master s degree is preferred.
Experience and Skills:
Minimum of two years in learning technology or instructional design, with a solid track record of implementing effective and innovative learning solutions. Must have experience in developing and integrating new tools across various settings.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud, Articulate 360, or other rapid learning development software.
Familiarity with the latest people tools, including VR (Virtual Reality), AR (Augmented Reality), AI (Artificial Intelligence), contemporary HCM (Human Capital Management), LMS (Learning Management Systems), and online learning and performance platforms.
Proven ability in contributing to large-scale learning projects from start to finish, ensuring they align with strategic objectives.
Demonstrated collaboration skills with the ability to partner with cross-functional teams and effectively collaborate with stakeholders to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction at all organizational levels. Should have a history of driving learning, development, and performance initiatives across diverse groups.
Skilled in creating, communicating, and executing development plans that integrate learning best practices and tools. Must be capable of anticipating technological trends and adjusting strategies accordingly.
Ability to use data analytics, visualization, and storytelling to evaluate the effectiveness of implemented learning products and services and make informed improvements.
Willingness and ability to travel nationally/internationally.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, essential for articulating complex ideas and engaging varied audiences, especially executive leadership.
Effective negotiation and persuasion skills, crucial for gaining support for innovative projects and strategic changes.
Flexible in dynamic, evolving environments, with the capacity to modify strategies and projects to meet changing educational demands.
