**Our client, a leading provider of automotive security solutions, is seeking a Cloud Software Engineer (Golang SME).**
**Position:**Cloud Security Engineer (Golang Specialist)**
**Duration:** Full-time
**Location:** Plano, Texas, United States
**Work Arrangement:** Hybrid (1-2 days onsite)
**Role Summary:**
Toyota is pioneering several different development efforts to increase security within Toyota s vehicle ecosystem. Several of these efforts require hands-on development skills with both embedded systems and cloud environments with a working knowledge of security.
**Responsibilities:**
- Create Golang-based microservices and libraries
- Perform code reviews
- Contribute to our coding standards and practices
- Implement cryptographic algorithms for signing and encrypting
- Work with different teams for end-to-end testing
- Guide and contribute to our architecture and infrastructure
- Create and guide internal documentation processes
**Ideal Candidates Will Have:**
- Experience in cloud environments
- Strong communication skills, specifically giving/receiving constructive feedback in a collaborative setting
- Minimum of 4 years of programming experience (i.e., Golang, Python)
- Good understanding of API design and implementation with security practices
- Ability to learn new technology quickly and adapt to changes
- Experience with both AWS & Azure cloud environments
- Experience with containerization implementations (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Demonstrable ability to architect, build, and operate distributed systems to solve problems
- Experience with AWS infrastructure and services, including deploying and securing applications and sensitive data in cloud environments
- Working knowledge of PKI and how to evaluate communication systems based on PKI
- A solid understanding of the Linux operating system, including commands, hardware, and software
- Network troubleshooting, ability to identify and resolve issues in network routers, firewalls, and switches
**Required Skills/Experience:**
- Strong communication skills, specifically giving/receiving constructive feedback in a collaborative setting
- Minimum of 4 years of programming experience (i.e., C, C++, C#, Rust, Python, Golang)
- Good understanding of API design and security practices
- Understanding authorization vs authentication
- Experience with REST and gRPC
- Experience with AWS infrastructure and services including deploying applications and securing applications and sensitive data in cloud environments
- Experience working with container technologies
- Demonstrable ability to architect, build, and operate distributed systems to solve problems
- Experience in secure coding
- Good understanding of security concepts like TLS, PKI, SAML/OAuth, Key management, hashing algorithms
- Understanding of CI/CD, Artifactory, SonarQube
**Other Skills:**
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Excellent documentation skills
