Role: AWS Cloud Engineer
Structure: Permanent Full Time (in office 2 days per week)
Location: Downtown or Etobicoke Location
Salary: $115,000 to $125,000 base + bonus + benefits and pension

Our client is seeking a seasoned AWS Cloud Engineer to join their dynamic team. You will work on AWS cloud design, build, configurations and maintenance of environments that will host high volume end-user consumer applications and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize infrastructure as code to create scaleable cloud environments
  • Work with other IT teams on new solutions including POCs for new products and innovations roadmap
  • Work with tools for containerization and DevOps including Kubernetes and Jenkins
  • Ensure cloud environments are built with security solutions and controls
  • Ensure cloud environments are built with cost management and performance agility in mind

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience, including cloud engineering and developing scalable distributed systems.
  • Previous experience with Cloud Solutions Design for AWS
  • Experience with a range of AWS Cloud Services including EC2, S3, CodeDeploy, CloudWatch, ECS, EKS, Route53
  • Strong scripting experience
  • Experience with Ansible and Jenkins
  • Strong ability to communicate with others and whiteboard or create solutions with other team members on projects and POCs
