Gedeon GRC is seeking a Director of Construction to be responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction from proposal solicitation to project completion. This position will ensure all construction activities are in compliance with project scope, budget and schedules.
Salary Range
$165,000-$215,000 annually, Pay commensurate with experience
LOCATION:
This is a Hybrid role with 30% of expected travel to construction sites across the 5 boroughs of NYC and Long Island.

Responsibilities
- Monitoring employee's workload and make recommendations for position additions or replacements.
- Maintain budgets for projects and ensure the projects stay within budget guidelines.
- Inspect project sites, attend field meetings and inform of any potential issues including safety or legal.
- Implement construction policies and procedures throughout the department and ensure department compliance
- Participate in project proposal meetings to evaluate the proposal and provide input on resources allocation
- Develop/ review safety protocols on project sites to ensure the safety of construction staff.
- Provide technical expertise to clients and personnel regarding construction procedures and safety measures
- Lead project proposal meetings to evaluate and provide input on resources allocation
- Identify opportunities by enhancing current network of A/E companies and state/local agencies to leverage new projects.
- Bachelor's degree (B.S., or B.A.) in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience on state/local government projects.
- NY Professional Engineer (P.E.), CCM and/or PMP Certifications required.
- Construction Industry knowledge working with state/local agencies in NY, such as DDC, DEP, NYCDOT, NYSDOT on construction projects for rehabilitation of highways/streets, bridges, other structures.
- Business and management knowledge in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques and people coordination.
- Expertise of techniques and tools involved in production of as-builts documents.
- Strong understanding of government regulations, OSHA and safety procedures
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe and/or Blue Beam.
