Responsibilities

  • Support for development, delivery, and maintenance of indexing, search and retrieval service(s) from data repositories specified by the government.
  • Operate and maintain the existing indexing, search and fetch tool(s) and service(s), make enhancements to existing tool(s) and service(s), and develop new tool(s) and service(s)..
  • Deploy and operate tool(s) and service(s) on multiple environments that include Development, Testing, Staging, and Production; and on networks that include Top Secret, Secret, and Unclassified security fabrics.
  • Perform all necessary tasks to obtain Security Accreditation and Authorization (A&A).
  • Implement indexing solutions that support unstructured, semi-structured and structured data formats to include (but not limited to) CSV, JSON, XML, Lucene, Graph indexes (both open source and those utilized by COTS products), Parquet, Iceberg and any other formats used in storing, indexing, processing, searching, and retrieving data.
  • Provide support to automate data exploitation pipelines that specialize in moving and cleaning data across networks.
  • Support AI/ML initiatives within indexing capabilities as well as entity resolution and correlation.

Qualifications

Required
  • 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD; 8 years in lieu of a degree.
  • Expert knowledge of leading indexing tools such as Elasticsearch or OpenSearch
  • Expert in programming languages such Python or Java
  • Strong understanding of cloud storage and computing
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to mentor and coach teammates.
  • Ability to collaboratively interact with customers including senior management, data scientists, and end users.

  • Understanding the challenges of indexing structured and unstructured data.
  • Decomposing functional requirements into technical specifications and tasks.
  • Software development and maintenance using tools and languages such as Java, SQL, JavaScript libraries, HTML, XML, Python, Spark, etc.

  • Experience with Agile development methodologies
  • Experience with SecDevOps processes.
  • Designing and delivering software solutions for the Sponsor.

  • Knowledge of automation tools such as Python, Powershell, Terraform, Ansible
  • Experience with development in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud

Target Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
