We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) part of the US Army's Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) aircraft.
This position is onsite in Grand Prairie, TX.
Drive Systems Test Lab Engineering
In the Drive Systems Test Lab, we provide testing of Drive System components for all Bell aircraft. In this group you will work with many programs across in a wide range of product life cycles to ensure our aircraft can operate safely and efficiently.
You will work with established products like V-22, aircraft that are being tested for certifications like 525, new programs like V-280, and the development projects that will shape the future of flight.
Our Mechanical Engineers are responsible to develop and build test stands.
Lead a team of technicians for first build and test of aircraft Drive System components and provide final reports internally and to the customer.

What you'll be doing as a Mechanical Engineer in Drive Systems Testing Labs:
- Develop/author test plans to communicate testing requirements for various aircraft components.
- Develop/design test stands and fixtures to test various aircraft components to aircraft design requirements.
- Interact with programs and external customers to ensure test requirements are achieved.
- Interact with technicians to ensure proper test assembly and conduct testing.
- Perform initial posttest analyses, author results, and disseminate those results.
Skills You Bring To this Role:
- Capable of developing mechanical concepts, drawings, reports, specifications to make, assemble, build, operate and repair test machines that accomplish certification of aircraft components or systems.
- Must be able to work in a team environment and collaborate to solve problems in lab environment.
- Computer aided drafting required with CATIA software preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
What you need to be successful:
- 4-year degree in Mechanical Engineering
- At least 2 years of work experience in engineering design
