Are you a results-driven, team-oriented leader? This is the opportunity for you! As a Project Manager I, you are responsible for managing a project from design to release for customers, monitoring the project from initiation through delivery and program closeout . You will develop, define, and execute project plans, schedules, budgets and deliverables; identify needed resources for projects; and interface with internal and external customers or field-based employees on technical matters as needed. Manages simple projects typically defined as: studies, small task orders, Internal Research and Development, Level of Effort; services only, spares or projects with minimal deliverables. Typically, there is no responsibility of managing team members directly, but rather an introduction to people management. This role can, and often is, used as a Control Account Manager on a larger program You will be responsible for all aspects of the project lifecycle: proposal development, planning, scope, definition, design, execution, delivery, and program closeout. You will track progress against milestones, budgetary guidelines, or other performance indicators, and prepare reports to stakeholders. The Project Manager will need to be agile and flexible, as changes will be certain and frequent.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and oversight on various Enterprise projects of a varying complex nature
  • Provide the centralized planning, direction, and control required to meet the cost, schedule, and performance goals throughout the life-cycle of assigned programs
  • Monitor, update, and report on indirect project performance/status in accordance with associated Enterprise processes and framework
  • Regularly communicate to management regarding status of project deliverables
  • Actively and continuously identify, monitor, control, and communicate project risks and opportunities
  • Assemble project plans, track key project milestones, and communicate status to stakeholders and management
  • Identify the staffing/resource needs for assigned and on-the-horizon projects to ensure adequate staffing for successful project completion
  • Develop proposals for assigned project initiatives to include developing the strategy for successfully completing the proposal, developing all proposal review data for approval, and ensuring proposal scope, cost, schedule, and management requirements are met
  • Use strong understanding of Enterprise process/tools and Business Area / Functional Area needs in order to effectively coordinate, interface, and communicate with Functional Area stakeholders, Program Sponsor, Procurement, Management, Program Support, Training Department, and IT
  • Ensure a close and continuous line of communication is kept open with the appropriate project stakeholders to maintain a high level of project status awareness, provide timely recognition and resolution of problems, identify opportunities, and prevent surprise

Must Haves:
  • Bachelor's degree and 3 years equivalent experience in business management, IT, or a related field of study
  • Experience with financial and reporting systems desired
  • Strong financial planning and analysis skills to plan and manage program budgets
  • Required skills include but are not limited to: time management, conflict resolution, communication, presentation, and literacy in the program management disciplines
  • Strong aptitude to connect with business processes and quickly learn business operations in order to support and interact with corporate-level project stakeholders
  • Demonstrated high level of integrity with significant attention to detail and quality
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Agile/flexible mindset and the ability to positively react to changing environments/requirements

Preferred:
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) is preferred
  • Experience in Government Contracting preferred
  • PMP Certification preferred
  • Previous experience leading software/system development and deployment
  • Preferred system exposure to include PLM, MES, Network, and Model Based Development
  • Working knowledge of Agile/SCRUM/Waterfall delivery methodologies
