Schneider Electric has an opportunity for a Dynamic Simulation Chemical Engineering Intern. This position will be based in Houston, TX for Summer 2025. This intern provides engineering support for one project at a time; assignments are of limited technical complexity and scope and will work closely with a Senior Engineer.

What will you do?
  • Develop and delivers detailed dynamic simulation solutions through consulting project activities.
  • Develop engineering models using dynamic simulation to identify ways to solve complex design, operational, and training needs faced by customers in the Power, Oil and Gas, Refining, Petrochemicals, and Chemical Industries.

  • Supports a thorough QA review and develops detailed documentation of the assumptions, base case, and other critical elements of the modeling work. Works closely with the Lead/QA Engineer to revise/modify modeling work and documents all citations and corrections
  • Assists in the internal model integration with oversight of the Lead Engineer or other senior colleagues.
  • Model integration with DCS/ESD systems
  • Assist in creating project documentation and project manuals

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
  • Currently pursuing a Chemical Engineering Degree
  • Experience working as part of a team in a project environment is preferred
  • Experience with steady state simulation, dynamic simulation or any advanced software, is prefered
  • Ability to work hybrid based in Houston,TX. Please note- this position does not provide relocation.
