Location: 47 Trinity Ave SW, GA (Initially Remote)
Duration: 8+ Months
NOTE: Remote Work Permit: Due to COVID-19, the client allows the selected candidate to work remotely. However, the candidate must be available to report onsite as directed by the client.
Short Description
The State Client, is seeking a qualified Business Analyst (BA) to join the agency based in Atlanta, Georgia. The BA will support the State-Wide NextGen Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Project, coordinating project activities with stakeholders and ensuring timely delivery of project goals.
Required / Desired Skills:
- Education: Bachelor s Degree in a Business-related field (Finance/HR)
- Experience:
- 7+ years as a Business Analyst
- Experience across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, documentation, training, deployment, operations, support, and maintenance (Nice to have)
- Ability to work effectively with SMEs, business analysts, vendors, and cross-functional teams
- Experience with State of Georgia Agencies (Nice to have)
Responsibilities
As part of the DHS team, the BA will support NextGen ERP implementation activities at the agency level, coordinating between stakeholders, service providers, the DHS Finance and HR business units, and the DHS Project Management Office (PMO).
At the direction of the Project Manager, the BA will:
- Establish a Stakeholder Register
- Assist in scheduling and facilitating agency project meetings
- Help stakeholders take actions to meet project goals
- Coordinate project activities and ensure timely execution
- Assist in developing test plans and support stakeholders with test scripts
- Document and distribute meeting minutes
- Identify and define business requirements by understanding business processes across a diverse group of users
- Work closely with the Project Manager to maintain project artifacts
- Build productive relationships with project sponsors, vendors, and key clients
- Document business requirements in a format that outlines the specific actions for the project, and obtain necessary approvals
