Role: Clinical Analyst
Location: Dallas, TX Remote (Central Time Zone)
Duration: 6 months contract
Required Skills:
- Minimum 9+ years of overall experience.
- Experience with healthcare/clinical terminologies and code-sets, including SNOMED CT , LOINC, ICD9-10, CPT4/HCPCS, RxNorm, CVX, and other code systems.
- Working knowledge of relational databases/database structures; SQL experience desired.
- Understanding of data collected and used in electronic medical records, and experience navigating EMRs.
- Knowledge and experience with ambulatory and acute clinical workflows and clinical information systems.
- Experience with detailed policies and related data/exchange standards, including the ONC Interoperability Advisory Standard, U.S. Core Data for Interoperability initiative, and ONC Certification Rules.
- Experience with using/implementing HL7 standards and processes, including Clinical Document Architecture (CDA) and Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resource (FHIR).
- Experience with lab information systems (LIS) and implementing, testing, upgrading, and standard integrations between lab systems and EMRs.
- Specific experience with PathNet, including high competency in PathNet GenLab and some experience in other lab areas such as PathNet Micro, PathNet AP, and PathNet Blood Bank.
- Additional skills with Epic Beaker, Meditech Labs, Sunquest Labs, or Soft lab systems are desirable.
- Degree in healthcare, clinical informatics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
