Job Description
Director, Project Management
Interested in getting in at the ground floor of a new, disruptive company attacking an important multi-billion-dollar problem? Businesses and consumers continue to demand increasing data services at an exponential rate -- streaming, deep learning, analytics, loT connectivity, and more. This means higher-performing CPUs, components, servers, and ultimately Data and Edge computing centers, all generating excessive heat that is increasingly difficult to manage with traditional cooling systems. Accelsius is developing revolutionary direct-to-chip, 2-phase cooling technologies that empower and enable Server OEMs, Data Centers, Edge Computing Operators, and 5G Edge deployments to meet performance, sustainability, scale, and cost goals while serving this high-growth market for data services.
Accelsius is looking for a Director of Project Management who will be responsible for leading the entire New Product Introduction (NPI) process from concept to market launch, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget. This position will report directly to the Chief Technology and Product Officer and you will play a critical role in bringing new products to market and scaling our development efforts in a fast-paced environment.
Role Responsibilities:
- Lead cross-functional teams in the execution of NPI processes, managing projects from concept design through to successful product release.
- Serve as the key point of contact for project management, ensuring alignment between product development, engineering, marketing, and other internal teams.
- Drive the launch of at least three products from inception to release, ensuring they meet all technical, quality, and market requirements.
- Establish and maintain project timelines, milestones, and key deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
- Implement and manage project tracking tools and regular reporting mechanisms to ensure transparency and progress updates.
- Facilitate regular project meetings to ensure effective communication across all departments.
- Identify project risks and implement risk management strategies to ensure successful project outcomes.
Qualifications for this role include:
- 10+ years of experience in project management, with a proven track record of delivering at least three products from concept to release in a high-tech environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; PMP certification is a plus.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams in a startup environment.
- Deep understanding of the NPI process, including design, development, and launch phases.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complexity in a fast-moving, high-tech landscape.
Key Cultural Principles:
- Agile, adaptable, and able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- A collaborative team player who can work effectively with diverse teams.
