About This Role
Our Engineering team is seeking a Configuration Data Management Analyst to support multiple product lines in our Goose Creek, SC location. The candidate will be eager to guide and support our Customers and our Engineering teams to follow industry-standard configuration management practices/principles, as they investigate, design, and integrate new and advanced technologies into our family of products within the Electronic Systems .
Coordinate and manage the five functions of Configuration Management (configuration identification, configuration change management, configuration status accounting, and configuration verification and audit) for programs of medium to large size. This methodology helps programs meet their goals for cost, quality, and schedule.
Establish and maintain constructive relationships with Government and commercial counterparts to foster Textron Systems' reputation as a partnering organization.
Provide technical direction to junior Configuration Management Analysts, mentoring them to increase their knowledge and confidence in the Configuration Management discipline and processes.
Draft new Configuration Management (CM) Plans for new programs, maintain CM Plans for existing work.
Lead/Conduct Physical Configuration Audits (PCAs)/Functional Configuration Audit (FCA) to ensure delivered product meet the product baseline and specified requirements.
Interpret complex specifications, contractual data, and hardware requirements, apply that knowledge to Programs supported.
Lead/Co-chair Change Control Boards (CCB) between Textron Systems and its customers and between Textron Systems and its suppliers.
Represent Configuration Management in program reviews, presenting relevant data and defending project technical approach.
Review documentation creation and change activities to ensure proper application of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Enterprise Resource Management (ERP) system requirements to metadata at the time of release.
Coordinate delivery of periodic Technical Data Package (TDP) deliveries.
Refine existing and develop new policies and procedures to support timely program execution and compliance with new and revised Configuration Management standards.
Monitor and refine existing metrics, develop appropriate measures for the Configuration Management function, helping drive continuous improvement.
Support Quality Management System (QMS) audits as needed.
Personal computer and corporate tool skills. (e.g., All Microsoft Office - Access, Excel, MS Project, Word, Outlook)
Ability to establish and maintain configuration baselines for planning, managing, and building systems, assist engineering teams through the product life.
Ability to control engineering changes to systems effectively and efficiently.
Ability to read, interpret, and extract applicable information from contracts, specifications, and processes.
Perform duties relevant to Software Configuration Management (SCM); Media processing, documentation, witness of Software Build Procedures, collecting and managing artifacts for both.
Qualifications
Required Education/Experiences:
Level 2:
Bachelor's degree preferred and 2-4 years of experience to demonstrate the ability to successfully perform the job.
Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity/Thorough knowledge of ASME Y14.100 and related standards.
Familiarity/Thorough knowledge with Computer Aided Design (CAD) software, specifically Siemens NX, SolidWorks.
Familiarity/Thorough knowledge with ENOVIA PLM, Teamcenter PLM, and Oracle ERP systems, other relevant products.
Knowledge of Software Configuration Management (SCM) and Software Versioning tools available to establish and maintain project software baselines.
Familiarity/Thorough knowledge of build procedures and Jenkins infrastructure
Industry or Government Configuration Management certification (CM2, NDIA).
