Job Description:
At Regions, the Telecommunications Network Project Engineer participates as the lead network subject matter expert in the development of solutions for new business and application expansion.
Primary Responsibilities
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

This position must be within a reasonable driving distance to a Branch, Consumer Operations, or Professional Office Building with the primary location being for Hoover, AL. Regions will not provide relocation assistance for this position, and relocation would be at your expense. Exceptions to the geographic location requirement may be made for current Regions associates who work remotely.

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.

Job Description:
At Regions, the Telecommunications Network Project Engineer participates as the lead network subject matter expert in the development of solutions for new business and application expansion.
Primary Responsibilities
- Determines methods and procedures to be implemented and used on the most complex new technologies to enhance performance
- Manages and coordinates the integration of new applications and network architectures and their associated plans including schedules and resource estimates
- Coordinates and facilitates multiple business processes and engineering activities to enhance and support the implementation of new technologies into core information system architectures
- Designs and implements solutions based on multiple vendor technology with an emphasis in strong background in Cisco Systems products
- Develops and generates conceptual, logical, and physical network architectures, resulting documents and drawings, testing analyses, test plans and risk assessments to ensure sound architecture
- Evaluates cost analysis and vendor comparisons for large scale projects to ensure cost-effective and efficient operations and measure feasibility of various approaches
- Evaluates complex data networking technologies to understand their potential and recommends future direction
- Researches technological advancements to ensure that data networking solutions are continuously improved, supported, and aligned with industry and company standards

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a similar field
- Six (6) years professional experience
Preferences
- Five (5) years experience with enterprise network design including WAN and LAN
- Current Cisco CCIE certification
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to deliver presentations and convey technical and design strategies to different audiences
- Experience in management or team lead role
- Network troubleshooting experience which includes packet trace and data analysis
