Senior Plumbing Designer - Relocation Assistance Provided

We are searching for a Senior Plumbing Designer in our Raleigh Studio. As part of our commitment to attracting top talent, we are pleased to offer relocation assistance to qualified candidates who are eager to join our Raleigh team!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work with Senior Engineer to deliver projects
  1. Assists in client management.
  2. Attends client, consultant, and design committee meetings.
  3. Communicates and improves some design processes with other team members.
  4. Manages teams and assists other project team members in the development and maintenance of workplans.
  5. May be involved in project/client pursuits.
• Manage project specific scope, budget and schedule
  1. Leads in planning, design and documentation of projects. Prepares working drawings.
  2. Participates in all design and construction phases of projects.
  3. Presents design to client and coordinates with other disciplines and consultants.
  4. Responsible for scope, schedule, budget for own scope of work.
  5. Owns all projects in entirety related to project delivery.
  6. Recommend alterations to design to improve quality.
  7. Participates in project debriefs and lesson s learned sessions.
• Mentor Designers
  1. Provide training and leadership through project work to empower, train and develop designers.

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Pursue certification and/or license (if on a licensure track)
• Support systems commissioning activities, including site visits and functional testing - development and execution.
• Provide mentoring to other staff members as directed.
• Promote company reputation through good client relations.
• May be required to perform other duties as assigned.

• Code and Mathematical knowledge required: Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local building codes and safety laws. Work requires advanced math skills, special relationship abilities, and the ability to understand abstract principles behind math and physics
• Ownership Mentality: Possesses a sense of ownership in all deliverables. Utilizes knowledge and opportunity to continually strive for excellence within an empowering culture. Collaborates and supports fellow employee owners in ongoing improvements. Understands personal accountability within their role in the company.
• Computer skills required: Microsoft Windows environment, Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel; Google: Mail, Calendar, Drive, Apps.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Design related technical degree, Bachelors or Professional degree in or applicable field.
• 10-20 years of applicable experience
  • Experience within healing, learning and/or discovery market sectors preferred
