We are looking for a Payroll Systems Consultant to join our team located in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This role is crucial in supporting the conversion to a new system, focusing on the HCM module. The successful candidate will be expected to manage the payroll process, oversee a small team, and participate in the conversion activities to ensure a smooth and accurate transition of data.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the conversion to the new system, focusing particularly on the HCM module
Manage the payroll process for a large number of employees
Supervise a small team, providing guidance and support as needed
Participate actively in conversion activities to ensure smooth and accurate data transition
Leverage technical skills to navigate and use systems such as Oracle and Workday HCM
Utilize experience in payroll management, particularly for large numbers of employees
Draw on past experience with Workday to assist in the system conversion process
Maintain oversight of internal controls and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
Contribute to the creation of business requirement documents
Apply skills in AB Testing, Auditing, and Accounting Functions as required. Minimum of 7 years of experience in payroll systems consulting or related field
Proficiency in AB Testing
Strong understanding of Accounting Functions
Experience in Auditing processes and procedures
Ability to create and manage Business Requirement Documents
Proficiency in Oracle database management
Experience with Workday HCM and Workday software
Proven experience in Payroll Management for over 500 employees
Experience in managing In-House Payroll systems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred
