Position Overview:
The Scrum Master will lead cross-functional Agile teams, guiding them to deliver value aligned with business objectives in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
- Lead Agile Practices: Support engineering practices within the squad, ensuring the integrity and sustainability of the codebase. Encourage shift-left practices, including pair- and mob-programming and automated testing as needed.
- Foster Team Collaboration: Guide Agile/Scrum teams toward self-organization, keeping focus on sprint goals, and prioritizing outcomes over outputs at both product and sprint backlog levels.
- Enhance Scrum Processes: Continuously improve the scrum process by identifying and removing impediments, as well as minimizing external distractions to streamline the development workflow.
- Drive Agile Adoption: Champion Agile practices across the organization, collaborating with employees from diverse functions to adopt new processes, coordinate work across divisions, and solve problems as one cohesive team.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement: Actively contribute to the Continuous Delivery Community of Practice to drive ongoing improvement in Agile discipline and delivery.
- Provide Team Leadership: Lead and coach the scrum team, applying Agile/Scrum principles to support the timely delivery of valuable products. Work closely with the Product Owner to assess team cohesion, and effectiveness, and recommend improvements as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of Scrum Master delivery experience, plus an additional 2+ years in Agile project roles.
- Education: Bachelor?s Degree or equivalent work experience.
- Certifications: Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) preferred, or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
- Skills: Strong leadership, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in written and verbal communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- Risk Management: Capable of identifying, analyzing, and resolving project risks and issues to meet targets for budget, schedule, scope, and risk.
Preferred Experience:
- Industry Knowledge: A background in banking, financial services, fintech, data integration, or project management is advantageous.
