The Anduril Imaging team develops state-of-the-art imaging systems, deployed to tackle the most significant security challenges of America and its allies. The Space Imaging Systems team is seeking an Electrical Engineering Lead. The Space Imaging Systems team is responsible for all aspects of spaceborne EO/IR system development, from the ideation stage through initial production. In this role, you will work closely with an interdisciplinary technical team to define space EO/IR payload electrical architectures, build prototypes, perform ground testing, and mature the prototypes into flight hardware products. As needed, you will also lead small teams of engineers from concept through system definition and development.

$142,000-$213,000 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Develop and oversee all electronic aspects of spaceborne EO/IR systems (e.g. sensor electronics, payload interfaces, power management, communication protocols, etc.)
- Work with system engineers to define requirements based on physics-based models of sensor & system performance.
- Provide support and collaborate with multiple platform teams, both internal and external
- Work with our electrical engineering team to design PCBs for space environments and support testing for thermal, vacuum, vibration, and radiation survivability.
- Coordinate and communicate with both external & internal stakeholders with varying degrees of technical background.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of experience in electrical systems engineering with a focus on space systems and payload development
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Ability to decompose complex systems into functional parts, with clearly defined interfaces and requirements for each.
- Demonstrated experience designing, testing, and troubleshooting electronics at the component and system levels.
- Strong laboratory skills (e.g. design of experiments)
- Knowledge of modern analog and digital electronics and electronic circuits.
- Experience in system development from initial concept through test and delivery to customer.
- Must be able to obtain and hold a U.S. security clearance.
- Willingness to travel to test sites, as needed.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with radiation hardened & fault tolerant electronics design.
- Experience with thermal vacuum chamber and radiation testing of electronics.
- Advanced sensing domain experience (e.g., EO/IR, LIDAR)
- A track record of successfully working on fast-paced, highly technical, interdisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a cross-functional team through design trades while meeting program deadlines.
- Proficiency in an analytical toolchains/language (e.g., MATLAB, Python, C++, etc)
