Responsibilities
- Write documentation in the ArcGIS Help system about using hosted imagery and raster analytics
- Create blog articles, videos, guides, and tutorials for GIS practitioners that provide guidance, best practices, and applied workflows for imagery and raster analytics
- Create innovative workflows for applying imagery in various communities, programs, and industries
- Collaborate with product development, product marketing, product management, documentation, sales, and other teams to provide learning resources about imagery capabilities in ArcGIS
Requirements
- Portfolio Submission: Writing samples of your recent work
- 5+ years of professional writing experience related to satellite imagery, drone imagery, remote sensing, or GIS
- Exposure to web-based content management systems to create and publish documents
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to translate complex concepts into clear, concise, compelling content
- Effective time management and organizational skills; work proactively and volunteer assistance
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in an agile environment with a fluid mix of collaborative and independent work
- Bachelor's in GIS, remote sensing, English, or related field
- Visa sponsorship is not available for this posting. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in Canada
Recommended Qualifications
- Blended background including technical and creative writing
- Familiarity with image processing, management, and analysis
- Experience with ArcGIS
- Exposure to web development patterns using REST and Python
- Master's in GIS, remote sensing, english, or related field
