Our ArcGIS Pro SDK team is responsible for creating the .NET APIs our customers can use to develop cutting edge ArcGIS Pro applications that revolutionize how people collaborate, share, and analyze GIS information.

As a Product Engineer on the ArcGIS Pro SDK team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, documenting, and testing all the great new features we add into our .NET Pro SDK for our developer community. Your responsibilities will range from designing and testing new API features to communicating how to use the APIs and improving usability of our .NET Pro SDK. As advocates for our SDK technology offering, we communicate, teach, and discuss the Pro SDK with our GIS tech savvy user community both online and in person at ESRI conferences. You will be working in a fast-paced environment where product delivery cycles are measured in months and not years.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with our development teams to build a great .NET SDK for our ArcGIS Pro developer community
  • Examine complex user workflows and help our customers define solutions
  • Implement great samples that exercise and illustrate the capabilities of our .NET SDK
  • Design APIs for new features
  • Create user documentation and tutorials for Pro SDK developers
  • Work closely with Product Management to help define the Pro SDK story to be communicated to our customers
  • Define and complete robust test workflows to validate product capabilities and ensure acceptable performance and reliability
  • Support our SDK product build and delivery processes and suggest new techniques that will help us deliver high-quality features to our customers faster
  • Assess SDK product quality and release readiness

Requirements
  • 5+ years of C# development experience on our Desktop products to include ArcObjects and Pro SDK add-ins
  • Experience working with WPF designing and implementing great custom application user experiences
  • Experience in commercial application development experience with ESRI desktop .NET developer technologies
  • Strong time management, prioritization, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to understand new technology concepts quickly and apply them accurately through an evolving, dynamic environment
  • Bachelor's in GIS, computer science, computer engineering, or a related field

Recommended Qualifications
  • Experience designing and developing SDKs for other developers
  • Experience writing end-user software
  • Experience with Agile software development methods (Scrum, and more)
  • Experience developing extensions for Microsoft Visual Studio
  • Master's in GIS, computer science, computer engineering, or a related field

$92,144-$152,152 USD
