We're seeking a Sales Leadership Development Program Manager to spearhead these efforts, working closely with our distributor partners to fulfill their staffing needs with high-potential candidates and ensuring the continuous growth and advancement of our sales teams.

In this vital role, you will develop and maintain an effective college sales recruitment program, partnering with colleges and universities to identify and attract superior candidates into our sales organization. Your mission will include overseeing the development and maintenance of our talent pipeline, supporting the hiring needs of our distributor partners, and ensuring the successful implementation of our internship program.

Your responsibilities will also encompass organizing and facilitating local Sales Leadership Development Program (LDP) meetings, updating management on recruiting efforts, and identifying ways to increase our diversity outreach. You will play a key role in planning and implementing regional recruiting conferences, retention, and mentor events, leveraging social media and creative efforts to drive candidate interest in Gallo.

As a mentor and coach, you will provide guidance to winery and distributor sales employees, pinpointing high-potential individuals for promotional opportunities, and presenting them as candidates for internal openings. Your expertise will also extend to executing development and retention strategies, sharing leading practices with colleagues, and ensuring the effective onboarding and capability development of newly hired LDPs.

What You Will Need

  • High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate.
  • Bachelor's degree plus 4 years of Gallo winery sales, Gallo affiliated or non-affiliated distributor sales, Gallo sales HR, or Gallo sales recruiting experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility OR Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of external selling experience.
  • Experience managing projects.
  • Required to be 21 years of age or older.
  • Required to see, smell and taste wine and spirits as part of job duties.
  • Candidates for this position must have a valid driver’s license and safe driving record. Required to obtain a California driver’s license or appropriate state driver’s license within 30 days of hire.
  • Required to travel by airplane or automobile up to 50% during heaving recruiting seasons to visit regional colleges, universities, or employees and 25% the rest of the year.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
  • Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

Compensation

  • Hiring Salary Range Posted: $106,740 - $178,000.00 / year
  • Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
