Waymo's Program Managers are accountable for Waymo's roadmap execution by providing thoughtful cross-functional planning, clarity, and proactive risk management. In the face of complex technical and operational challenges with no established playbooks to follow, we act with thoughtful urgency, driving conversations, discussions, and outcomes. Our team partners closely with every function of Waymo to structure, own and drive work towards real-world deployments of the Waymo Driver across platforms and geographies.
In this hybrid role, you will report to a Director, Commercialization and Strategic PMO

Salary Range
$221,000—$281,000 USD
Waymo's Program Managers are accountable for Waymo's roadmap execution by providing thoughtful cross-functional planning, clarity, and proactive risk management. In this hybrid role, you will report to a Director, Commercialization and Strategic PMO
You Will
- Lead and launch expansion programs for new markets and new partners
- Drive and own plans and planning for market launch activities across the technical and non-technical stack
- Orchestrate deliverables across our teams including Product, Engineering, and Operation, establishing or improving workflows and processes where needed
- Serve as a single owner for external partner engagement across technical and non-technical workstreams, actively managing scope, timelines, and resources
- Identify and reduce business-critical risks and dependencies
- Keep partners informed and aligned; represent programs to senior leadership and escalate when needed to remove blockers
- 10+ years of experience in program management
- Experience managing complex programs
- Experience driving large programs with a holistic understanding of business-wide functions
- The ability to navigate ambiguity and lead decision-making
- Expertise in scaling processes within complex, growing areas
- Expertise in external partner engagement and market expansion (eg. scale, commercialization)
- Expertise within SW program management
- Expertise within autonomous vehicles or automotive space (eg. fleet management)
- Experience scaling businesses
- Experience launching in national and international markets
- Experience with road safety, design, or transportation planning
