The IT Operations team at a reputable Credit Union is looking for an Application Support Specialist to help support Core Banking Software Applications and Systems, including Symitar.
Responsibilities include:
- Setting up and fine-tuning software systems
- Applying patches and updates to software
- Verifying that applications operate correctly
- Support users by troubleshooting application tickets
- Collaborating with vendors to identify and fix application problems
- Overseeing schedules and confirming the successful completion of automated tasks
- Participating in project teams to deploy new applications or system
Experience Needed:
- 2+ years of IT experience in either an Application Support, Systems Admin, or Help Desk role
- Undertsanding of Credit Union application (Symitar preferred)
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows server and desktop operating systems, and general client support knowledge.
- Highly self-motived and directed.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- College degree, such as computer science or business preferred.
