Software Tester / Quality Assurance Specialist

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Salt Lake City, UT that is seeking a Software Tester/Quality Assurance Specialist.

Responsibilities:
* Identify, document, and track software and system defects using our defect tracking system
* Create and execute test cases (manual or automated) on our systems to ensure quality and functionality
* Collaborate with the development team to understand features and resolve issues
* Communicate effectively with team members about bugs and system issues
* Maintain a diligent approach to observing and reporting bugs and inconsistencies

REQUIREMENTS:
* Degree in Computer Science or experience with testing robotics software, embedded systems, or avionics
* 1-2 years of testing experience
* Basic skills in working with a Linux system (willingness to learn is acceptable)
* Strong attention to detail and a passion for maintaining high-quality standards
* Self-motivated and proactive in identifying and addressing issues
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Experience in Linux and Jira; Docker is a plus

Preferred Qualifications:
* Previous experience in software testing or quality assurance is a plus but not required
* Familiarity with defect tracking systems is beneficial

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
