Remote - Data Scientist

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Remote Data Scientist in Palo Alto, CA.

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
* 5+ years of experience in natural language processing, machine learning, and/or data science
* Experience in Python or R
* Experience working with large language models, such as GPT-3+, LLAMA, or similar
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to identify new opportunities for LLMs in our products and services
* Experience with one or more deep learning frameworks
* A deep theoretical or empirical understanding of deep learning
* Experience in building, testing and deploying machine learning models, including large language models
* Strong analytical and debugging skills
* Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure and distributed computing
* Experience with DevOps/MLOps/LLMOps
* Desired qualities include agility and hands-on capability
* Ability to conduct experiments and thrive in a research-driven environment
* Proven track record of engaging in research projects
* Expected to stay updated with the latest developments and efficiently implement them
* Enthusiastic about researching and resolving intricate issues
* Demonstrates a proactive attitude and is eager to contribute to the company's growth
* Enjoys research-oriented tasks and is a creative thinker
* Motivated to build the company and passionate about working for a startup
* Driven by the challenge of solving complex problems
* A self-starter capable of independently processing problems
* Keen on keeping abreast of scientific literature as it is published

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
