Job Overview
The Director of IT is tasked with planning, developing, implement, maintaining, and providing hands-on support of the information technology infrastructure to support the company s operations and sales processes, communication needs, and current and future business plans.
Essential Responsibilities
Accountable for the management and development of IT team members by ensuring employee engagement through coaching, feedback, and performance management.
- Develop and implement IT strategy for the company which ensures maximum performance for value and consistency globally.
- Ensure reliability and maintenance of key hardware and software platforms and applications oversee daily performance of the computer systems and evaluate software programs for usefulness.
- Determine technical goals to achieve objectives.
- Evaluate technologies to determine how they can help the organization.
- Determine, coordinate, implement the installation and upgrading of hardware and software.
- Plan, coordinate, implement programming and systems design, such as applying existing systems resources to additional operations and making systems compatible for up-to-date information sharing (systems communicate).
- Design, install, and support the LAN/ WAN, network, internet, intranet system; provides day-today support for software users; ensures all components are performing properly; and surveys site to determine future needs.
- Strengthen EDI relationships with major wholesale customers.
- Responsible for security of computer networks
- Coordinate work of IT staff, whether employees or vendor personnel.
- Meet technical goals within timeframe and within budget.
- Create manuals or other training and user information resources providing users the knowledge to ensure efficient operations.

Qualifications
- Bachelor s Degree or equivalent with concentration in Computer Science or Information Technology
- 7 + experience - IT technical hands-on skills
- 2 + years experience - IT management, coordinating work of IT staff or outside consultants and project management
- Experience, hands-on as well as ability to solve, administer, and implement network operations, help desk support, programming/systems design, computer system security.
- Experience (hands-on) - created manuals, training, and/or user information resources.
- Business process / systems applied knowledge and skills.
