High caliber Engineering students are invited to apply for a 10-week summer internship at our San Antonio, Texas, location. A semester long experience can be considered. Ideal students will be enthused about or experienced in the theory, fundamentals, and tuning of internal combustion engines.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of technical tasks surrounding validation and calibration of IC engines
  • Provide engineering analysis of combustion and ECM controls for performance and/or emissions to engineers and project team members
  • Utilize dynamometer & emissions measurement equipment
  • Install, troubleshoot and inspect mechanical and electrical components
  • Exercise professional discretion in judgment, customer service, and time management
  • Maintain confidentiality, work independently, and perform other duties as required
  • Must be able to maintain a full-time work schedule during the internship timeframe

Requirements:

Currently working towards a BS or MS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or related discipline

Previous calibration, diagnostics, & engine controls experience preferred

Hands-on electrical and mechanical abilities preferred
