Job Description:

Our work depends on a Configuration Manager joining our team to support Federal Electronic Health Record (EHR) Modernization program activities.

At GDIT, we put our people first. As a Configuration Manager supporting the EHR modernization program, you will be trusted to work on Large Scale Federal Program and lead the configuration management process.

HOW A CONFIGURATION MANAGER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
  • Developing a Contractor Configuration Management Plan for use by GDIT that aligns with the customer's PMO Configuration Management Control Plan.
  • Creating, reviewing, updating and implementing configuration management processes or related content.
  • Identifying and maintaining the original configuration of requirements documentation, design documentation, software, and related documentation.
  • Developing, maintaining, and implementing configuration items (CIs) and monitoring the release management process.
  • Controlling configuration baselines, conducting functional and physical configuration audits, and contributing to technical or status reports as requested.
  • Supporting efficient and effective service management processes by providing accurate and timely configuration information that aids decision-making.
  • Ensuring integrity between business, functional, and non-functional requirements and CIs by maintaining an accurate and complete Configuration Management System (CMS).
  • Establishing procedures for auditing and verifying the accuracy of CIs, adhering to processes, and identifying process deficiencies and adherence of CM process by PMO team and task order configuration analysts.
  • Establishing appropriate authorization controls for modifying CIs and verifying compliance with software licensing.
  • Responsible for overall CM functions such as Configuration identification, control, status accounting, audits and reviews.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
  • Bachelor's degree in IT Management or a related field, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, and work experience
  • 5+ years of experience performing configuration management role functions and responsibilities.
  • Experience with configuration management support, to include designing and establishing CM program & documentation.
  • Experience conducting functional and physical configuration audits.
  • Experience developing, maintaining, and implementing configuration items (CIs) and monitoring the release management process.
  • Experience with establishing and utilizing configuration management tools.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the year, if needed.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • ITIL V4 Foundation or possess equivalent higher certifications
  • PMP certification
  • Experience with Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) solution delivery
  • Experience with Electronic Health Records Management
  • Experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) ServiceNow platform

The likely salary range for this position is $114,750 - $155,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
