JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Penn State Extension Better Kid Care is seeking a part-time Multimedia Specialist for up to 24 hours per week (Monday -Friday). The successful candidate will work in tandem with other Better Kid Care designers and a team of content specialists to create resources for our online professional development system. Work may include the creation of handouts, illustrations, presentation materials, video clips, custom animation, social media graphics, newsletters in Mailchimp, and H5P interactive content. Daily activities may also include marketing and outreach development.

Required skills:
- In-depth knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite with interactive document experience using InDesign
- Graphic design experience with typography, page design, and layout for web and print delivery
- Basic HTML, CSS, and Plone skills
- Knowledge of YouTube, Kaltura, and social media platforms
- A working knowledge of implementing WCAG 2.2 requirements for publishing accessible PDFs and content online
- Previous experience in a multimedia-related field
- Must be able to organize and share ideas while working both independently and with a team on multiple projects simultaneously
Preferred skills:
- A strong illustration ability and experience with H5P
- Experience with FileMaker Pro 19 and Mailchimp
