Systems Engineer (FactoryTalk)

Job Description: Systems Engineer (6-Month Contract)

Location: On-site in San Leandro, 5 days/week
Contract Duration: 6 months (with potential for extension or conversion)
Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain both on-premises and cloud-based systems (Windows/Linux).
• Oversee and optimize OT networks, specifically Rockwell FactoryTalk.
• Collaborate with the IT manager to design resilient systems and demonstrate OT visibility into the cloud.
• Mentor and upscale junior team members, fostering their growth and increasing their responsibilities.
• Ensure smooth operation of VMware-based on-premises infrastructure (VXrail environment).
• Maintain and manage AWS services, including EC2, S3 buckets, RDF, and containers.
• Support offshore resources, ensuring effective collaboration and knowledge transfer.

Required Qualifications:

• Extensive experience with cloud and on-premises systems.
• Proficiency in managing OT environments, particularly Rockwell FactoryTalk.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Experience with VMware and VXrail environments.
• Familiarity with AWS services (EC2, S3 buckets, RDF, containers).
• Excellent mentoring skills and a willingness to teach junior team members.
• Ability to work on-site 5 days a week.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Litmus environment and beverage manufacturing OT systems.
• Background in high IoT environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

3. Experience with Operational Technology (OT).
