Your Role and Responsibilities
The program manager is responsible for managing a team of software developers, business analysts and testers for an operations and maintenance program for the Bureau of Fiscal Service. The PM is the main point of contact between BFS stakeholders and O&M team members. The program manager will provide leadership, oversight, and management of the contract and will direct and monitor work to meet customer requirements, specifications and quality assurance standards. Leaders are expected to spend time with their teams and clients and therefore are generally expected to be in the workplace a minimum of three days a week, subject to business needs.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Experience in managing and delivery enterprise-wide IT systems projects.
  • Knowledgeable in IBM AMS capability
  • Excellent communicator and team builder
  • Experienced in managing a team of staff with matrixed skills and responsibilities
  • Experience developing and implementing program controls, schedules, program financials, and risks


Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Experience with BFS
