Are you a driven and collaborative Product Owner ready to make an impact in a dynamic, technology-forward environment? We re looking for a dedicated individual to join our technology team supporting our procurement subsidiary, Foodbuy, and help us shape the future of procurement through innovative technology.

As a Product Owner, you will become the link between business needs and our agile development team, working closely with developers, quality analysts, Scrum Masters, and business partners to deliver powerful business solutions. You ll play a pivotal role in ensuring our team meets its objectives by translating business requirements into actionable technical outcomes. What You'll Do
  • Own and prioritize the team s backlog: Ensure the agile team is always focused on delivering the most critical outcomes for the business.
  • Lead user story refinement sessions: Collaborate with the team to break down complex business needs into clear, actionable user stories.
  • Drive product development: Build and own user stories, and ensure the final product meets quality standards and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with team members to work closely with product managers and key stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical needs the team can work with.
  • Showcase the product: Lead engaging product demos to business partners celebrating team achievements and delivering business value.
  • Align with business goals: Participate in Program Increment (PI) planning to ensure the agile team s efforts align with broader business objectives.
  • Foster transparency and communication: Manage stakeholder expectations, ensuring everyone s aligned and well-informed.
  • Derive and Translate Data Needs: Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their data requirements and translate these needs into technical specifications for the engineering team. Ensure that the data solutions align with business objectives and drive value.
  • Basic Data Analysis: Utilize Snowflake, SSMS, Power BI, or other data analysis tools to explore and understand the data. Be able to navigate datasets and gain a basic understanding of the data structure to inform business decisions
Job Qualifications
  • Education & Experience: A Bachelor s degree with 3+ years of experience in IT Product Ownership or Project Management, preferably supporting large-scale or mission-critical applications.
  • Problem Solver: You have a curiosity about creative problem-solving and can communicate and resolve complex system issues with ease.
  • Stakeholder Manager: You re skilled at managing conflicting priorities and building consensus across diverse user groups.
  • Communication Wizard: With excellent written and verbal communication, you re able to explain complex technical ideas in simple, relatable terms.
  • Highly Organized: You ve got superb organizational and time management skills and can easily handle competing priorities.
  • Great Teammate: You re flexible and thrive in a collaborative environment, whether working with executives or team members across different functions.
  • Relationship Builder: You build strong, lasting relationships across the organization, establishing yourself as a trusted partner.


Bonus Points If You Have

  • Experience working in a SAFe, Agile, or Scrum environment
  • Certifications as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or in project/product management
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps, SQL, and Snowflake Data Warehouse, or similar tools
  • A passion for data analysis and working with large datasets using tools like dbt
