About the Job:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer with hands-on experience in the Financial or Banking industry. You will be joining a dynamic and fast-paced environment, collaborating with a cross-functional Agile team of 15. Your role will focus on building scalable, flexible data solutions within the Azure Cloud environment, ensuring all systems meet stringent regulatory standards. This position is hybrid, based in New York, NY, and offers an opportunity to work on critical data engineering initiatives for a leading industry player.

  • Implementing data governance frameworks, ensuring data quality, and managing data controls
  • Setting up alerts and notifications for batch jobs to maintain smooth operations
  • Working closely with compliance and security teams to ensure regulatory standards are met

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in data engineering, with proficiency in Python for ETL processes
  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure Cloud, including Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Azure Storage, and Virtual Machines
  • Expertise in data governance, data quality, and compliance with financial regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA)
  • Proven experience in the Financial or Banking industry, with a deep understanding of data integrity and regulatory compliance
  • Ability to work in an Agile team and adapt to a fast-paced project environment
  • Strong communication skills for translating business requirements into technical solutions
